Complex problem?
If you have a complex problem, it is important to take your time to make the right diagnosis. Try to visualize the problem. Draw it (even if you think you can’t draw). Or build it with Lego or other toys.
Try to explain to an outsider what the problem is and use your visualization for it. Let the other listen carefully.
It helps when the outsider asks questions, many questions.
It is also helpful when you turn your problem into a question. That opens the door to solutions. Look at these examples:
