With and Against

If you want to implement your idea, it is important to have a good image of every one and everything that can support your idea or can hinder your idea.
What are all the factors that can support your idea? They can be people, materials, places, or even time. And which factors can work against the idea? They can be people, money, procedures, places, etcetera.
It is all about wanting to be successful. That’s why you should do this exercise.
Take green post-its for everything that will support your idea. Take red post-its for everything that might hinder it. One item per post-it.
Write everything that pops up in your mind.
Look at the left column of things and people that might support you, then make appointments. Collaborate and co-create, this increases the chance of success. Focus on what you want from your assister, be concrete and specific in your questions.
Can you help me to write a subsidy application?
Can you bring me in contact with….
Can you help me with developing this part of the plan?
Have a look at the right column. What or who can hinder you?
How can you bend this? Start generating ideas and use these phrases:
How might I…
What are all the possibilities to…..
In what way may I…
So, you collect ideas of how to bend the resistance. Or, even better, ideas for being proactive.
It is better to face resistance instead of ignoring it. Anticipate.
Then you are leading the process and you have a greater chance of being successful.
