Improving myself
At this stage it is important to have a clear picture of the setting that defines the success of the solution. If you are not able to form this picture, ask for help.
It is all about coming out with your solution, and communicating it. Practice. Ever heard of the Elevator Pitch? Are you able to make someone enthusiastic in just one minute?
Making an action plan gives you a resource. Don’t see it as a straitjacket. Making mistakes is part of it, as long as you learn from them. Take care to use your assisters as support.
This stage brings uncertainty. You will face resistance, which can reduce your enthusiasm or certainty. This is all part of the process.
Don’t give up. Focus on what you want to gain. Make your focus visible.
Improving yourself means reflection. Ask yourself questions:
- What am I doing?
- Is this a good way?
- What works? What doesn’t work?
- What can I do differently the next time?
- Who is good at doing this stage? Can I collaborate with, or learn from, them?
